Power in the Middle® Training Series

I created Power in the Middle® because I’ve seen firsthand how critical middle managers are—and how often they’re under-supported. As a former Fortune 500 executive, I led and mentored mid-level managers for over two decades. My own experience has shaped my deep belief in the power of developing these emerging leaders and the positive impact it has across an organization. Research shows that training alone results in only about 20% skill transfer on the job. But when it’s combined with ongoing, targeted coaching, that jumps to over 80%. That insight shaped this blended program.

Over 6 to 9 months, managers participate in topic-based training paired with monthly small-group peer coaching. This format helps them apply what they’re learning, build strong internal networks, and grow in the ways that matter most—giving feedback, delegating effectively, managing stress, and leading change.

I’m passionate about helping organizations unlock the potential of their middle managers, because when this level of leadership thrives, the whole company benefits.
